Week of July 21st 2008

This is my very first journal entry for BCAT….It is long overdue but better late than never. This week, I did a number of things that I am routine to and things that I’m not so used to. As usual, I helped work the cameras in the studios for different community producers as well as play the role as floor manager, technical director and character generator; these are just a few things I am able to perform.

On the other hand, what was different this week for me was my task on the Brooklyn Elected officials shoot in which Leslie actually let me work the camera mainly focusing the two guests…that a big deal-especially to Leslie but I showed him how I does! LOL. Hopefully he can take me more seriously so that I can work the cameras during the events in Prospect park (Celebrate Brooklyn!)

I still have a few more hours left here at BCAT. I am working hard in getting these hours in so that I can finish my internship on time. I’m doing nine hours here today-trust this is nothing compared to real television where you have an 18hour day; believe you me, i have had shoots where I have worked from 7pm to 7am no break-point is, nine hours ain’t nada plus I’m coming back Saturday to rack in three more hours.
