Musicians at BCAT
I had a wonderful experiences at BCAT today. The musicians played many songs and told us of their past history and how they got started. One very important thing they talk about was don’t give up on something you love. Here are some pictures. Sorry I could not put the video in but I will try.

Today our fellow youth came from MNN to visit us. The interns from Manhattan Neighborhood Network came in for a round table discussion and a tour of our studios. They came in and we gave them a tour. We showed them the main, mini and training studios, as well as the media lab and all the cool people that work here. We showed them the edit suites and they were amazed that we use Avid Xpress Pro. The guys informed us that they use Final Cut Pro and I found that cool.
The kids there were really interesting. They’re having a screening on Friday at Magic Johnson theater and we’re gonna be there. It’s gonna be really cool. It was so fun to actually meet those guys and to learn about them. They told us that they don’t do much at MNN, but edit. I found that odd, but I guess they’re not as lucky as us.

this week is the last week of work and i really can’t believe it!! today was really a lot of fun, even more that i had first anticipated, we had everything planed out for when MNN came but then once they came it kind of got a bit hectic. I was worried for a little bit that they weren’t going to pull it off but once we got settled i figured that hopefully everything will turn out fine. I was on camera 1 where i have been for basically my whole internship, by now i am very comfortable with using the camera and im not as nervous as i used to be which has shown how much the internship actually helped in the long run. the show i think went great both tiffany and jazz were excellent interviewers and this is just one of the last pieces of the big puzzle called TOPS.

This week would probably be the best even though, this whole internship would cool and a great experience. I just can’t wait to get paid because I gotta go back to school shopping. We only have like three more days, and i would remember this place but, after a while it all would be gone and out of my head. So, hopefully this week goes by fast because after that I’m free.
I really dnt like blogging i think this stuff is mad wack..but i have to do it cuz its part of my job..well today the MNN interns come in so we gotta show them around and interview them..we got lunch early so im about to leave..also yesterday was our last day of workshop and we now have 4 days of work left..im happy but at the same time i dnt wanna leave cuz the job isnt bad at all but i need a break from skool and work for the rest of the summer…Later

This is almost the end of our internship and i’m so sad that it has to end. I learned so much being here at BCAT. It was a fun and different experience. I hope that we can find a way to have a internship during the school year. I cant believe its ending. Bye!!

well today my schedule is a bit weird, i had something to do early on the day because i had things to do with the family and friends but i didn’t want to take a total day off since i didn’t come to work on Monday due to a sore throat and tiredness. So today I came in at about 4 and i was suppossed to do a shoot but turns out the person is not going to be here so im pretty sure its canceled, go figure with my luck, but hopfully i can stay a bit and maybe do some editing.

Well its the 6th and we have 9 more days till our internship ..im happy and sad at the same time cuz it was fun here but i need a break from work and skool..well i gotta go back to editing the TOP footage.

Yesterday. I missed work because the lady that i truly care about and love so much went back to the hospital for surgery…I can’t stand seeing my grandma like this. The doctors had called my home tell how during the surgery they had complications and it was up to my grandma if she wanted to live or not….she was on life support. At around 9 last night, doctors called back telling us how she pulled through and she is no longer on life support and is breathing on her own….that was the best thing i heard all night. I went to sleep in peace and i just couldn’t wait until today to come…so i can go see my grandma. I love her so much….
Today. I woke up feeling madd nonchalant. I knew i was supposed to be here at 10…but once i got up i went right back to sleep. I wasn’t even gonna come, but i need the money….lol…..bills need to be paid. Anyways. I got up and came to work…..to sit in the media lab and design TOPS logo. TOPS is the 2008 Summer Interns Show. It Called “Teens on Polictics”.

This is the middle of the second to last week. i cant believe it! the ending time is coming up so fast. it was great working here. i wish it did not have to finish. im going to miss all of my coworkers and the experience i have here. but at least im leaving learning something new. and im going knowing BCAT helped me so much. maybe ill get in front of a camera again just because i did it here. and im happy that Carlos said that any time we want to come back that the doors are always open. he might want to take that back once they can never get me out!! lol bye!!
