Video shoot 7/18/2008

Today, we helped out to set up on another video shoot. I came kinda late so, I missed out on helping out but, I was able to watch guess do the show on the caribbean. I was in the studio watching them make the show and see how they work behind the camera. It was another good experience for me because, you would never know if I would become a great producer in this media business. While, I was in the studio behind camera, I was pressing the record button every time they were ready to start. I was able to see, how they us audio, how they write up with the telepropter, and etc. So, by time this summer interning is over and done, i should know the basics of everything from head to toe.

Creep 7/17/08

1. The plot of the video is how this animated guy sings about how he is a creep because he was in some type of relationship and broken a part. So, he is very very down about himself and wants to kill himself because he thinks that he is a creep.

2. I think that quality is really good because I know is took a while to finish this video, in order for them to make every appear and disappear.

3. The message was very clear and the lyrics of the song and the image of the video also.

4. The music is perfect for the song because it’s slow and so is the music. When everything slowly goes away or comes it goes perfectly with the song.

5. If i were the director, I would make the video exactly the same way, because its perfect and good could not be done any better.

6. I can relate to the character because I have once did something that i did not mean to and i felt down after. I felt like I should not have done it, and didn’t know how to make it any better. I thought as if the world was against me and wanted to kill myself.

7. I agree because he felt like he was lonely or the only creep so, he is just lying on the floor, saying how he doesn’t belong on earth any more.

8. The challenge would probably be making the correct song for the video and how I would even start the video off.

9.I would sleep it off and then the next day, I would try to forget about the entire thing and leave it alone or try to make it better.

Editing The sneaker commercial and “Say No”

7/10/08

Today, was a good day. I was finishing editing for the “say no” and the Sneaker commercial. It was challenging because there was a lot to edit. We had to make the coloring correct or it would not look correct. Then we had to make titles for them and design them. It took me the whole day to finish because I kept making mistakes. I wanted it to be perfect even though when i finished everything, It still was not perfect as it should be. This Is really the second time I have edited a video shoot, so hopefully I can get better at editing after I keep doing it, i would be better than most of the professionals and probably even get a job editing if i choose to.

Interviewing and Debating

7/9/08

Today, while interning at BCAT me and my fellow interns interviewed each other. We also Debated about people having abortions and if it’s the right or wrong thing to do, and about sex before marriage. I enjoyed it being I never interviewed anyone or recorded someone else while they were being interviewed. It was a good experience and I probably would not want to do it again, because I don’t like being interviewed, it makes me nerves because sometimes I don’t know what to say, the cameraman records it the whole time. While we started to debate I was Kinda excited because I debated before, but never while i was in front of a camera. I was the first one so, I started laughing because, i just could not keep a straight face. The best part about working today, was when I was the camera man because I just like operating the camera.

Video shoot, 07/03/08

Starting off the day, it was really fun and exciting. Today we did a video shoot on drugs, and a commercial on sneakers. I was one of the actors that played a role in both of them. I think that i did well for the rehearsal, but i can do much better on the little mistakes. Between the drugs and the sneaker commercial, the sneaker commercial was better then the other. When we have to go outside and really do the shoot, I’m going to be excited and nerves at the same time, because I really don’t want to make any mistakes. So , hopefully it goes well and I’m happy with it after I’ve all ready watched myself doing it.

What I learned while in BCAT so far

July 1, 2008

These past few hours have been a great experience for me. BCAT is a wonderful place to just be able to do a simple television show. While learning in BCAT so far I now get how TV companies work and how they make TV shows air on television. The experience of learning how to work high technology cameras, would have a great opening for me later on in my life. I would be able to do plenty of things while in front or behind the scenes of television. I would be able to work with maybe audio and video production. I would also be able to host television shows or just be a camera man.

I’m interning at BCAT just because I know that I’d be able to get experience on new things, that I have not learned before. The people that work here at BCAT are great people and they are giving me this good opportunity to learn this and do something good with it. After, this intern it done with I would be a professional with everything that I learned. I would probably even come back next year to hopefully learn more new and better things. Then, when i get a little older I am able to do my own TV shows or direct it. I would also be able to be a professional camera man making money, behind the camera, with a skill that I like.
