Yesterday!!!

Yesterday. Was awesome! I directed our show for T.O.P.S and I felt soo good. It was absolutely fun. (Laugh Out Loud]. But wow, I can’t believe it, and I’m actually gonna be on Television. Friday is our last day, and we are to have our T.O.P.S video in by then. So for the past two weeks, we have been doing the video interviews and editing a lot of footage. It takes a lot of work to come up with a final completion. I was so excited yesterday. We interviewed interns from MNN (Manhattan Neighborhood Network] after we showed them a tour around BCAT (Brooklyn Community Access Television]. Tiffany interviewed the first group and I interviewed the second group. It was so much fun…I can’t even stop saying it was so much fun. (Laugh Out Loud]. I ain’t even gone lie….I was really scared and nervous. But I got through it….and Now we’re about to edit it into our time line….bye. =]

Friday (Week 4]

Yess!! Today is THEE last day of the week. Awl man, what an exhausting week! Thank God It’s Friday, as they all say. (Laugh Out Loud.] Today? I can say was a fun day! We worked with Megan Donis and we met The District 16th Senator Mrs. Velmanette Montgomery. It was soo cool. Megan and I worked on the teleprompter together, and her, Shameeka, and I spoke to each other about some things and how we like working here. It’s great here. It’s just so much fun.

Thursday (Week 4]

Today. Nyiesha, Jaryd and I made or own film set and show. The name of the show is “Amateur Talk Show” and it’s basically different topics we talk about. We are set up in the training studio in BCAT or course, and it is just so much fun. I taught Nyiesha and Jaryd how to work the teleprompter and Carlos showed us all how to work the audio, and lights. Again Again! [:)

Monday and Tuesday (Week 4]

Monday: I had so much fun. Danielle and I worked on the first part of our new Bcat Summer Internship Website Banner. I was good. We worked on it from 11am to 1pm, then we went on ahead to or SYEP Workshop.

Tuesday: Today was so much fun. From 11am to 1pm we worked in the training studio with Patrick, Leslie and Michael for the “In The Zone” set. I worked the teleprompter, and it was sooo much fun! Yay! Then from 1pm to 3pm, Tiffany and I finished the Banner for the website, it was fun. Carlos and Lyra loves it, so I feel good today =].

Low Morale:Creep

1. The plot of the video is how the character feels about himself, and why he don’t think of himself as special. (Low Morale)

2. The technical quality of the video was really good, I think it was very creative. Especially, the fading of the background.

3. The message that the director was trying to clear out was that, the character no longer wants to be here, living, because he’s not special and he wants to be special. He also is a widow and he believe he has no point of life.

4. The music matched the video perfectly. I understood it clearly, and the music is what made the video go good, for me to understand the issue.

5. Most likely if I was the director, I wouldn’t really do any changes to the video, it is already a great explanation to the song.

6. I can relate to the character only sometimes. Like when I’m having problems at home with my family, and they try to put me down sometimes. I say things like, “I don’t even belong here”, and “I wish I was never born, this is all just a mistake”, and a lot of other things.

7. Not really, because I don’t think anyone deserves to kill themselves if they feel that they aren’t important.

8. The challenges that I can say I’m facing is, dealing with school, a lot of fighting, facing my fears, being talked about, started with, but sometimes it just don’t even bother me. The issue that really bothers me though, is how family can turn on each other.

9. If I was facing Low Morale or Burnout, I would deal with it myself or I would have someone help me. I probably will do anything, except kill myself, or someone else.

Monday 7/14/08 and Tuesday 7/15/08 (Week 3]

Monday? I can say was like the best day I ever had at Bcat. We worked with Bernice. She is very funny and interesting. She was shooting a live tape and I was working one of the cameras. Her show was about Tap Dancers, and her special guest was Walter. He’s nice, too. It was soo much fun working on set with Bernice and my other co-workers.

Today? I can say was a nice day. Me and Danielle edited our “Say No” film and our “Sneaker Commercial”. We had so much fun in the editing suite. I can say our video came out great! (Lol]. We had so much fun, we even made our stuff funny.

Wednesday! (Week 2]

Today was awesome! I had sooo much fun. We had to do an interview today. Which means we all interviewed each other. Me? Im camera shy, so I wasnt really into the interview. I just said anything that came to my mind. Yes, I was very nervous, but I stopped after we did a second shot, which was a debate. During the interview, we all asked eachother different questions continaing to how we felt about certain things and how we interact with work, and other things. It was funny at some things that we were saying. But we tried to do it on a serious note. [Lol). And buring the debate, it was also fun. I kinda jumped into it when i wasnt suppose to, but i felt that i had to say something or it was going to destroy me if i didnt get it out. (Lol]. We were actually still arguing but we had ran out of film.

Today was fun! I would love to do it again.

Tuesday (Week 2], 07/08/08

Today, was sooo much fun! Like, i actually held a camera and recorded a film today. I learned about the floor manager’s job. It’s not much I can explain, unless i really express it. But in other words, today was “popping”. Even though we ate late!! I still loved it [Lol]. I really want to do it again. And now i really understand that it does take a lot of time and work to actually get it right.

Thursday, 07/03/08

Today, we are filming a Sneaker commercial and a Public Service Announcement about Saying No to Drugs. So far, we have rehearsed out what we will be doing/saying during the shoot. I am really nervous about it, because I am camera shy, but once I get it done and over with, i will feel fine. I had so much fun with my co-workers today. After we finished our rehearsal, we played around on camera. It was so much fun. I am having a great time here. Today is our last day for the week. Can’t wait until next week!

Today, 07/02/08

Today was a very exciting day. We all learned how to edit our own videos. It was fun, and interesting. It took some time for me to get it right, but it was quick and easy. I understand it very well. Today we also spoke to each other on thoughts about our film we will be shooting tomorrow. We have 3 actors, Me (Jazmen), Tahau, and Jameer. We have Jaryd as the camera man, Brandon as the audio manager, Tiffany as the Director, and Danielle as Producer. Not only was today fun and exciting, tomorrow will be better.
